Dr. Rafael Santonja was elected as President of the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness (IFBB) during the 2006 Electoral Congress in Ostrava, Czech Republic, until 2010. Javier Pollock was re-elected for his fifth consecutive 4-year's term as IFBB Vice President for the Central American & Caribbean area during the same International Congress.

At the 2010 IFBB Congress in Baku, Azerbaijan, Dr. Santonja was re-elected as IFBB President for a 2nd term until 2014. Javier Pollock was re-elected as IFBB Vice President for a sixth consecutive 4-year's term.
